The Bethlehem School District has embraced solar power. Tangent Energy Solutions has completed solar energy generation installations at 3 Bethlehem Area schools. The three schools are Spring Garden and Buchanan Elementary schools plus East Hills Middle School. There are an additional 2 schools that are scheduled to be commissioned in the coming weeks.
The 5 schools in total will provide the Bethlehem Area school district with roughly 2 million kwh (kilowatt-hour) per year of clean electricity and save nearly 2.75 million pounds per year of CO2 and other greenhouse gases.
